As the Beta Xtrainer begins its eleventh year of production, it is being celebrated with a stunning new look featuring grey bodywork to compliment the Italian red frame. The new look separates the look from is cousins, the RR X-Pro and RR Race Edition models.

Lower to the ground than the big brother RR models with a narrow mid-section and a power delivery that is easily managed from low to high rpm, Xtrainer has the power it needs to hold the racing line, but favours slightly slower and more technical routes where it can exploit its trials-inspired vocation, as well as the torque of its Beta 250 or 300 two-stroke engine.
The power from the liquid-cooled engine is almost electric-like, providing a seamless power delivery that has just the right amount of power and torque. Rideability has been Beta’s tagline for more than fifteen years and the 2025 Xtrainer is the poster-child of this. The Xtrainer’s lower seat height provides the rider with more confidence. Most riders can touch the ground easily which makes riding much more enjoyable.
Rideability is the key to the Xtrainer’s heritage, below are a few features that make up this amazing enduro model:
- Chassis: Lighter and more compact package compared to a full-size Enduro bike, the Xtrainer is designed for riders of all skill levels.
- Seat height: Lower seat height ensures confidence.
- Brakes: Same brake package as RR models, Nissin, with discs measuring 260 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear.
- Battery: Lightweight, high-performance lithium battery.
- Fork and Shock: R16V with 43 mm stanchions at the front and progressive leverage at the rear. The suspension can be fully customised, the fork offering adjustable spring pre-load and rebound while the shock is adjustable in terms of its spring pre-load, compression and rebound dampening and is attached via a progressive linkage.
- Power Valve: The Beta Progressive exhaust valve can be externally adjusted by the rider, allowing engine performance to be effectively adapted to suit every kind of usage.
- Ignition Map switch with handlebar button: Two positions, (Sun or Rain) which adjusts the engine power as needed. Sun mode is the quicker engine map. The rain mode slows down the engine roughly 20% for improved traction and control in wet conditions.
- Fuel tank: Transparent tank with 8.8 litre (2.32 US Gallons) capacity.
- Electronic Oil Injection: Located under the seat (which is easily opened at the touch of a button), eliminates the need for the oil-fuel premix;
- Soft tyres: Their soft compound and aggressive design guarantee grip in every situation, the rider benefiting from responses that are less twitchy with respect to a tyre with a stiffer carcass;
- Cooling fan: A cooling fan is mounted as standard equipment on all Xtrainer models to ensure the engine always maintains the ideal running temperature, even on slower trails.
- Electric starter: Precise and reliable, essential when restarting the bike in tricky situations. An optional back-up kick starter is available.
- Engine and clutch: “Easy-Pull” diaphragm clutch with three different settings that allows rider to adjust the lever feel and progression to his or her liking.
- Electronic Key: Provides a safety system prevents theft with a unique coded key that also has a tether to be used as a safety shutoff when worn around the rider’s wrist.

The battery is now lithium, lighter and more high-performance than its predecessor;
Electronic key:
A magnetic “kill-switch”-type key. The device represents an absolute innovation both for Beta and for the entire enduro world.
The new electronic key is a security system that simultaneously performs both the function of anti-theft device and that of motorbike and rider protection, and is an exclusive European Patent registered by Betamotor (EP3064405B1).
